- “It is like eating the flesh of your dead brother”
According to sanctioned businessman and presidential hopeful, Azruddin Mohamed, he received the government’s blessing, at the very highest level, to import his Lamborghini. But some time after, those very figures gave their blessings for tax evasions charges to be laid against him.
The businessman said he spoke to both President Dr Irfaan Ali and Vice President, Bharrat Jagdeo before importing his vehicle. But they have now turned against him.
While Mohamed steered clear about saying anything about the Vice President’s perceived switch, he said that his “Muslim brother”, President Ali has committed one of the greatest sins in Islam. Mohamed claimed he was only reminded of this in court when he saw the three holy books—the Bible, Quran and Bhagavad Gita.
Seeing the Quran, Mohamed said he remembered Ali “immediately”.
“It is such a great sin when it comes to back biting and stabbing your own Muslim brother in the back. It is like eating the flesh of your dead brother,” Mohamed told the media.
He continued, “He is nothing more than a dishonest and dishonorable person. I have proof that Ali facilitated and assisted with the clearance of the Lamborghini.”
Mohamed threatened, “Any time he comes out and say that it is a lie, I will show the whole country how dishonorable he is…I have proof sir, let him come out and say he did not do it.”
