In preparation for the upcoming elections, Regional Division 4 ‘C’ conducted an election readiness training session aimed at equipping ranks with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure they are educated on their roles and responsibilities during the electoral process.
The session was spearheaded by Assistant Commissioner Khali Pareshram, Commander of Regional Division 4’C’, who underscored the Division’s steadfast commitment to maintaining law and order during this critical period.
Held at the Division’s Headquarters, the session brought together ranks from various departments within the Division. Assistant Commissioner Pareshram emphasised the importance of professionalism, integrity, and impartiality in the execution of election duties, reinforcing the Guyana Police Force’s dedication to safeguarding democratic principles. The areas covered were Policing Public Meetings and Duties on Polling Day.
The training covered several key areas, including Election Laws and Regulations; Crowd Management; Communication Protocols; Crisis Response Plans; and Authorised Personnel at Polling Places.
