The Guyana Police Force has confirmed that Paul Daby Jr., also known as Randell, has been released on $1 million bail after the 72-hour detention period in connection with the attempted murder of Lolita Callender, called “Lola Doll,” expired today. He was granted bail with strict reporting conditions.
Meanwhile, police have arrested a 20-year-old Orthopedic Technician after he admitted to secretly recording Callender while she was hospitalised at the Georgetown Public Hospital on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
The suspect told investigators that although he filmed Callender with his cellphone, he did not post the video on Facebook. He claimed he only sent it to his ex-girlfriend via WhatsApp, and deleted it from his phone after seeing it circulating on social media.
His cellphone has been seized and handed over to the Cybercrime Unit for analysis. Investigators are also working to locate the ex-girlfriend as part of the ongoing probe.
