Police are investigating an incident that occurred earlier today (Thursday, October 30th, 2025) on the #2 Public Road, West Coast Berbice, which resulted in the death of 32-year-old motorcyclist, Azim Khan of Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice.
Khan was at the time riding a motorcycle (CR 3710) when he reportedly crashed into a concrete fence at the mentioned area, at about 05:46 hrs.
Investigations so far revealed that Khan was proceeding east along the #2 Public Road on the motorcycle, allegedly at a fast rate, and while negotiating a left turn, he lost control and collided with a concrete fence on the northern side of the road.
The 32-year-old man, who received injuries to his body, was picked up in an unconscious state by public-spirited persons and taken to the Bath Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor.
The body is at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Further investigations are in progress.
