Senior Magistrate, Fabayo Azore today dismissed an Attempt to Obstruct the Course of Justice charge that was made against Dameion McLennon, a Cadet Officer.
McLennon was accused of attempting to cover up the police killing of 23-year-old Quindon Bacchus.
The 23-year-old of Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara, was shot dead on June 10, 2022 during what the Guyana Police Force had initially claimed was a “sting operation” at the Haslington New Scheme, ECD.
Today, in Court 3 of the Georgetown Magistrates Court, Magistrate Azore upheld a no case submission that was made by Attorney-at-law Bernard DaSilva on behalf of McLennon.
The charge was subsequently dismissed.
