Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Susan Rodrigues has issued a blistering response to allegations made by We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) Leader Azruddin Mohamed, dismissing claims that she acquired properties through corrupt means and asserting that her wealth was lawfully obtained long before entering public office.
In a lengthy statement shared publicly, Rodrigues rejected Mohamed’s accusations outright, saying she has never benefited from government housing allocations and can fully account for her assets through legal documentation and declarations made to the Integrity Commission.
The minister lashed out against Mohamed and his family, accusing him of criminality, financial misconduct, and attempting to distract from his own legal troubles by targeting public officials.
Below is the Minister’s post she recently made on Facebook:
Dear Azruddin, Hana and the Mohamed’s criminal gang,
Let me take this opportunity to remind all of you that the elections were held on September 1, 2025, and you lost. The people of Guyana rejected you and gave President Ali an even bigger mandate. Let me also remind you, in case you forgot, because I know you are fully aware that I come from money. I do not get excited over fancy things like you do, since I’ve been around fancy things my entire life. Money is new and exciting to you, so you need to drive a lamborghini around the whole country to compensate for other inadequacies, like your tiny brain.
I am the owner of multiple properties, none of which were acquired from the Government of Guyana. I have never received, nor have I ever applied for any house lot through the Central Housing and Planning Authority or any other government agency. The Certificates of Title bearing my name were all bought by me from a private individual, executed through an Agreement of Sale, and are not the lands upon which that apartment building is located. I can produce evidence of this at any time. The owner of that building should sue you. I am also not the owner of the second building in your amateur video, but I will have you know that that property was acquired in the year 2016, long before I entered government and my party was not even in power during that time.
Apart from properties, I am a shareholder in several companies, locally and internationally, all of which I have declared to the integrity commission because I can account for every cent of my wealth and I am not ashamed of it. You on the other hand, amassed your wealth from criminal activity. It must really bother you that people can actually work hard, use their brains and acquire assets legally and honestly. That must be a radical idea for you to accept.
Your attempts to pull everyone into the cesspool with you will not prevent you from getting on that plane. You are a desperate, drowning man. You must answer for the billions of dollars you stole from Guyana. You must answer for the gold smuggling linked to Venezuelan generals. You must answer for the money laundering for drug traffickers and criminals, including sanctioned Russian nationals as reported by Reuters. By the way, Hana’s husband is Russian. You must also answer for the links to Hezbollah and other terrorist groups. The Americans most likely want you for these links more than anything else. No amount of deflecting will save you from answering for your crimes. Imagine the most corrupt family in Guyana pretending to fight corruption. What a laughable thing!
