The Guyana Technical Training College Inc. was officially opened today at Port Mourant on the Corentyne Coast.

Courses that will be offered ranges from Production Technician Training to Instrumentation, Electrical, and Mechanical programmes, with each discipline further branching into its respective specialized fields.

President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali delivered the feature address. In attendance were: the First Lady, Arya Ali; Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha; Senior Minister within the Office of the President with Responsibility for Finance, Dr. Ashni Singh; Minister of Public Service and Government Efficiency and Implementation,  Zulfikar Ally; Minister of Tourism, Susan Rodrigues; Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning,  Keoma Griffith; Minister of Natural Resources, Vickram Bharrat; Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister, Kwame Mc Coy; and Minister within the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, Steven Jacobs.

Also present are Member of Parliament: Zamal Hussain; Region Six Chairman, Junior Basant; Regional Vice Chairman, Wajid Saheed Khan; Regional Executive Officer, Narindra Persaud and officials from ExxonMobil, among others.
