The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) says it has not sanctioned a survey currently in circulation that purports to address matters relating to the leadership of the Party.
“The leadership of the PNCR wishes to make it clear that the Party is not associated with, nor has it sanctioned, the said survey. From all indications, the survey appears to be biased against the current leadership and does not reflect any official initiative of the Party,” the PNCR said in a release to the media on Wednesday.
The party hinted that the survey might have emanated from within the organisation, as it called for unity.
“At a time when our collective focus should be on strengthening the Party, consolidating our efforts, and mobilizing our resources in the interest of the people of Guyana, it is regrettable that some elements appear intent on undermining and weakening the organization.
The People’s National Congress was built through the blood, sweat, and tears of its founders and generations of committed members and supporters who believed deeply in the vision of national development, unity, and service to the people of Guyana. That legacy must be respected and protected.”
The party noted that, notwithstanding such actions, it will not be broken.
“Out of every challenge, the Party will continue to rise stronger, guided by the enduring principles upon which it was founded. Long live the legacy of Forbes Burnham! Long live the Party he built! Long live the People’s National Congress Reform!”
