Police are investigating an alleged assault committed on a 14-year-old student of Kitty, Georgetown, which occurred on Thursday, March 12, 202, at6 about 16:00hrs.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the teen was allegedly attacked by six males, who dealt him several kicks and cuffs about his body, causing him to receive injuries.
As a result of the assault, the victim was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he is presently admitted as a patient.
Police have since arrested a 17-year-old male of Durban Street, Wortmanville, Georgetown, who is suspected to be involved in the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
