Police in Regional Division 2 are investigating an incident which occurred on Monday, April 6, 2026 about 16:30hrs at the Hot and Cold Lake, Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast.
Arif Azeez, a 15-year-old student of Adventure, Essequibo Coast is feared dead.
Initial enquiries revealed that Azeez had gone to the lake on an outing with friends and was operating a jet ski when he allegedly fell into the water and disappeared.
An alarm was raised and searches were immediately carried out by persons in the area in an effort to locate Azeez. Further searches are ongoing.
Investigations continue.
