Two more persons, who tested positive for COVID-19, have died, taking the death toll to 569. The latest fatalities are, a 64-year-old woman from Region Six and another woman, 51, from Region Three. They both died while receiving care at medical institutions in the country.

Meanwhile, the country has recorded an additional 88 cases of the virus, taking the overall number of infected persons from March 2020 to 23,244. There are 16 persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 731 in home isolation, 80 in institutional isolation and one in institutional quarantine. Some 240,573 tests have been done to date.

Region Four remains the district with the largest number of infections to date with 10,479 cases; Region Three with 2,676; Region Nine, 2,149; Region Six, 1,945; Region Ten, 1,563; Region One, 1,326; Region Seven, 1,300; Region Five, 776; Region Two, 650; and Region Eight, 380.
