Police are investigating the murder of Gladwin Daniels, a 40-year-old construction worker of Lot 31 Goed Fortuin Public Road, West Bank Demerara.
He was killed at about 00:30 hours today at Goed Fortuin.
Guyana Standard understands that Daniels was consuming alcohol at a birthday party at Goed Fortuin Squatting Area when two persons on the road called out to him.
Daniels greeted the men outside before an argument ensued.
He was reportedly stabbed in the neck by one of the suspects. Daniels collapsed and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The two suspects were arrested and escorted to the La Grange Police Station, where they were placed into custody, assisting with the investigation.
