Police in Regional Division # 4 ‘C’ are investigating a fatal accident which occurred on Friday November 21, 2025 about 21:15hrs on the Nabaclis Public Road, East Coast Demerara which resulted in the death of a male motorcyclist, name and other particulars unknown at this time.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a black and red Honda XR motorcycle was proceeding west along the southern lane of the public road when it collided with a pedal cycle ridden by a 23-year-old self-employed male of Sideline Dam, Golden Grove, E.C.D who was at the time crossing the roadway with a female pillion rider, age 8, also of Golden Grove.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist, the pedal cyclist and the child received injuries about their bodies and were transported to the Enmore Regional Hospital where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty.
The body is presently at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination. The injured pedal cyclist and child remain hospitalised as investigations continue.
