Police in Regional Division # 5 are investigating the death of a 52-year-old Sesupaul Ramgobin, also known as “John Paul”, of Quakers Hall, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara.
He is believed to have been murdered on
on Friday November 21, 2025.
Initial investigations indicate that at about 23:00hrs, relatives heard what appeared to be an explosion and later discovered Ramgobin lying motionless on the step of his home. The matter was reported and ranks responded and commenced investigations.
The scene was processed by investigators where the deceased was observed with an injury to the back of the head and additional injuries to the upper body, suspected to be gunshot wounds. No spent shells were recovered at the scene.
Ramgobin was escorted to the Mahaicony Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body has been taken to Bailey’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.
