Kenner Arjun, one of three men charged in connection with the possession of more than 21 kilograms of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking, has been granted bail following an appearance before the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court.

Arjun, along with Antonio Bobb and Pooran Seemangal, initially appeared before Magistrate George at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, July 10, 2025. At that hearing, all three men pleaded not guilty to a joint charge of possession of 21.714 kilograms of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. Arjun also pleaded not guilty to an additional charge of possession of 3.128 kilograms of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

Bail was refused for all defendants at the time, and they were remanded to prison.

However, Arjun was granted bail during a subsequent court appearance today at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court.

Arjun was granted bail in the sum of $500,000 on each of two counts of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

The granting of bail was premised on delays in the matter. As part of his bail conditions, Arjun is required to report to the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) Headquarters once per month until the conclusion of the case.

He is being represented by Attorney-at-law Bernard DaSilva.

The matter has been adjourned to February 24, 2026, for continuation.
