Police are investigating the murder of 38-year-old Emanuel Williams, called “Chiny”, which occurred on Friday, January 23, 2026 about 23:30hrs at 14 Mile Issano Landing, Middle Mazaruni.
Investigations revealed that the victim was at a bar in the area when he became involved in an altercation with a male, during which he sustained a stab injury to his chest.
Cops subsequently captured the suspect in Issano.
A post-mortem examination was on Monday, January 26, 2026, conducted on the body of Williams by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
The cause of death was given as perforation to the lung and heart due to a stab wound to the chest.
The body was subsequently handed over to relatives for burial.
Investigations are continuing.
