Earlier today, Agriculture Minister, Hon. Zulfikar Mustapha met with farmers from Parika and several other communities in Region Three to explore collaboration on expanding cassava cultivation to support the production of cassava flour at the Ministry of Agriculture’s cassava processing facility.

The discussion focused on strengthening the supply of cassava to ensure consistent operations at the facility while creating new income opportunities for farmers in the region.May be an image of text

During the engagement, Minister Mustapha explained that the Ministry, through the National Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (NAREI), will work closely with farmers to ensure sufficient production to sustain continuous processing at the facility.May be an image of newsroom and text

The Minister further stated that NAREI will provide farmers with technical guidance and the necessary inputs to help maximise yields.May be an image of one or more people
