A post-mortem examination was conducted on Tuesday April 7, 2026, on the body of Arif Azeez, 16, a student of Adventure, Essequibo Coast, who died on Monday, April 6, 2026.
The examination was performed by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh at the Suddie Hospital Mortuary, Essequibo Coast, who gave the cause of death as drowning compounded by multiple injuries.
The body was subsequently handed over to relatives for burial.
According to reports, Azeez was at the Hot and Cold Lake, Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast with some friends when he fell off a jet ski he was operating. His body was found sometime later.
