Detectives in Regional Division 6 are investigating the circumstances surrounding the suspected suicide of 29-year-old Police Corporal Javier Adrian of Kildonan Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
The incident occurred at about 18:45 hrs on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Corporal’s residence.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Adrian was found unresponsive on the upper flat of the building. Police ranks, along with a Crime Scene Technician, subsequently visited and processed the scene.
The Corporal’s body was examined, and no marks of violence were observed. He was taken to the Port Mourant Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor.
The body is presently at Ramoo’s Funeral Parlour awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
