A 44-year-old man accused of possessing 36 pounds of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking was on Wednesday remanded to prison following his appearance at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court.
Onai Olutunde Nassy of Lot 62 Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown, appeared before Her Worship Magistrate Tamika Clarke, who was sitting for Magistrate Wanda Fortune.
Nassy was represented by attorney-at-law Bernard Da Silva.
According to the court document, Nassy is charged with possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking, a violation of Section 5(1)(a)(i) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act, Chapter 10:10.
Bail was refused and Nassy was remanded to prison until November 15, 2026, for disclosure.
