Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male whose partially decomposed body was fished out of a canal at Strathspey, East Coast Demerara.
The discovery was made today around 07:30 hrs.
The body, which was clad only in a brown long pants, had a red haversack slung on the back. In the haversack was an identification card bearing the name Deshawn McLean.
The body is presently at Lyken’s funeral home awaiting identification and a post mortem examination.
