Advisor to the Health Minister, Dr Leslie Ramsammy says that more COVID-19 tests would have been conducted within the last three weeks than in the previous six months.
“On this day also for the first time, we tested more than 300 persons. We were able to test 357 persons on August 23. If we will stop COVID- 19 we have to increase testing. In just three weeks, we have done more tests than was done in almost 6 months previously,” he posted yesterday on Facebook.
He added that Guyana has already surpassed 1000 COVID-19 cases on August 23. The number of cases in Guyana is now 1, 026.
