Post Mortem examinations were conducted on the bodies of 16-year-old, Isaiah Henry and Joel Henry, 19, today by Dr. Nehaul Singh at Memorial Garden Funeral Home, Le Repentir, Georgetown.
Joel Henry died from hemorrhage and shock due to multiple injuries, while Isaiah’s cause of death was given as haemorrhage and shock due to multiple incise wounds.
The bodies of the teens were found aback Cotton Tree, West Coast Berbice (WCB) last Monday by a search party after they were reported missing by relatives.
Their murders have triggered a series of violent protests in the West Coast Berbice area.
Demonstrations were also held on the East Coast of Demerara and Georgetown, with many demonstrators and activist groups calling the incident a hate crime.
So far, seven persons are in custody assisting with investigations.
