Police are investigating a murder committed on Clarabel Johnson, 28, of Lot 142 Cooper Street Albouystown, which occurred this morning.
According to police, Johnson was allegedly killed by her reputed husband sometime around 06:25hrs at the aforementioned address.
Enquiries disclosed that the duo had a “misunderstanding” and the suspect chopped the victim on her right foot behind her knee with a cutlass.
She was subsequently picked up by neighbours and rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), where she died while receiving treatment.
The suspect is on the run.
