Police say they have caught the man who allegedly lstabbed his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend, Sanesha Lall this morning.
The 34-year-old suspect was arrested at Better Hope Backdam, Essequibo Coast around noon. He was observed by ranks vomiting what appeared to be a green substance. Upon questioning, he told the ranks that he had consumed a poisonous substance. He was taken to t Suddie Hospital, where he remains admitted under guard.
A search of his vehicle, which was also in the bacdam, revealed an Indezone bottle and a black rambo knife. The knife is believed to be the murder weapon.
According to reports, the fatal stabbing occurred at Richmond Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast.
Investigation revealed the suspect and the teen were in a relationship which ended some time ago. Police report says that the man, during a visit to the teen’s home, entered her room where he dealt her several stabs about her body and made good his escape
She was taken to the Suddie Hospital and was pronounced dead by a doctor on duty. The body is at the Hospital’s Mortuary awaiting a post mortem.
