About 06:20hrs today, a Joint Services Search was conducted at the New Amsterdam Prison with a total of eighty-five (85) ranks drawn from the Joint Services.
The search concluded at 09:08hrs.
During the search the Guyana Police Force, Narcotics dogs were deployed.
The following Prohibited Articles were unearthed:

2. A quantity of wires
3. One (01) Phone Charger
4. A quantity of Zip lock bags
5. Four (04) metal spoons
6. Six (06) Improvised weapons
7. A quantity of Razor Blades
8. One (01) Adapter
9. Two (02) Phone Batteries
10. Four (04) Chargers and cables
11. Eight (08) Zip Lock bags containing leaves, seeds & stems (30 grams)
12. One (01) Scissor
13. Four (04) Cellular Phones
14. One (01) Mirror
15. One (01) nail clip
