The Transport and Harbour Department (T&HD) has notified that MV Kimbia is out of dry-dock and has successfully completed its test run. The vessel will return to its Georgetown/Region One route tomorrow.

The vessel was docked at a city wharf after it developed a hole in its bow. The situation unfolded a little over a year and a half after some $488M was spent to renovate the vessel.

It is scheduled to set sail for the Northwest tomorrow at 4pm. Passengers are asked to take note of this departure and make all necessary arrangements for travel.

The T&HD and the Public Works Ministry expressed thanks to the affected for their patience.
