Eighteen-year-old Seon Benjamin called ‘Black & Shine’, of Lot 407 D’ Field, Sophia, today appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Her Worship Alicia George where a robbery charge was read to him and he pleaded not guilty.

It is alleged that on December 17, 2020, at ‘B’ Field, Sophia, he robbed Fitzroy Cummings of cash and articles amounting to $815,000. The charge further states that sometime before, after or during the robbery he used violence committed on Cummings.

After pleading, he was granted $50,000 bail and the matter was adjourned until March 9, 2021.

He was also ordered a curfew between the hours of 18:00 hrs to 06:00hrs. He must report to the Turkeyen Police Station once every month until the completion of the matter.
