Members of the Guyana Police Force and the Guyana Prison Service earlier this morning, between 06:00 and 08:00hrs, conducted a joint search at the Lusignan Prison and Quarantine area where the following items were found: 17 improvised weapons, four metal spoons, one cellular phone, one memory card, 10 lighters, two piceces of broken mirrors, three cellular phone chargers, one earpiece, six bottles fermented wine, 144 packets of cigarettes and a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems which amounted to 125 grams of suspected cannabis.
All of the items were taken to the Vigilance Police Station and lodged.
