Former Head of State, David Granger has filed a $2.6B lawsuit against Public Relations Specialist, Kit Nascimento and daily newspapers: Kaieteur News, Guyana Times, and Stabroek News.
The action comes on the heels of comments Nascimento made during the March 2020 General and Regional Elections via letters published by the media houses.
Granger’ s Attorney and Member of Parliament, Roysdale Forde contends that the letters written by Nascimento were libelous and geared at impugning his client’s character.
Granger is seeking retraction and apology, while also requesting several injunctions to block the republishing and repeating of Nascimento’s statements.
