A 19-year-old labourer was today handed a four-year prison sentence for killing a 17-year-old boy back in June 2019.

Initially indicted for murder, Richard Harrychand opted to plead guilty to the lesser count of manslaughter, admitting that on June 2, 2019, he unlawfully killed Clive Osborne.

Dead: Clive Osborne

He had confessed to the crime, saying that he did it as revenge for his brother.

Reports are that on the day in question, Osborne was with a group of friends when he was stabbed to his head, chest, and abdomen by Harrychand.

This publication understands that Harrychand and the now-dead teen were involved in an argument when he reportedly whipped out a knife and dealt Osborne several stabs about his body.

The teen was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

When the matter was called today, Justice Navindra Singh at the Suddie High sentenced the teen to four years’ imprisonment.
