A 25-year-old minibus driver was robbed last night by two men at Swan Village, Soesdyke Linden Highway.

Enquiries disclosed that the minibus was overheating while in the vicinity of Swan Village, forcing the victim to pull over to the left side of the said highway for the vehicle to cool off.

About five minutes after, he observed a dark-colored car pull up behind the said bus and two males came out of the car. They ran up to his driver’s side door as one pulled out a black handgun from the waist of his pants and pointed same to him.

He was pulled out of the bus and searched.

The men took away $20,000 and the minibus, Toyota pitbull bearing registration BWW 1914, valued at $2.9M.

The victim traveled to the Kuru Kururu Police Outpost and made a report. The matter is now under investigation.
