The government has introduced new measures for persons visiting ministries and agencies.

New COVID-19 Health Regulations states that persons desirous of visiting any government agency or ministry shall be vaccinated. For those unvaccinated, they are advised to make an appointment for an in-person visit.

The new measures come against the backdrop of several private sector entities upping pressure for employees to get vaccinated.

Some businesses have asked their employees to get vaccinated or provide regular tests before reporting for work.

Vaccination, however, remains optional.

Health Minister, Dr Frank Anthony earlier this week said that government will do all that is necessary to ensure that citizens do not succumb to COVID-19. The death toll is over 530.
