Police ranks from the Number 51 Police Station, Berbice, conducted an intelligence-led operation yesterday around 13:00hrs at the Number 63 Beach, Corentyne, Berbice which led to the recovery of a 9MM semi-automatic pistol and 11 9MM rounds.
The two suspects, who are believed to be fishermen from Nickerie, Suriname, ages 46 and 37, were arrested.
Investigations are ongoing.
