Three more persons who tested positive for COVID-19, have died, taking the death count in Guyana to 1,171.
The latest fatalities are one 76-year-old, Region 10 man; and two women, an 83-year-old from Region Seven, and a 30-year-old from Region Four.
Guyana also recorded an additional 220 cases of the virus, thereby increasing the number of confirmed infections in the country from virus confirmation in March 2020 to 60,109 from 508,888 tests.
There are 13 persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 184 in institutional isolation, 9,447 in-home isolation, and 16 institutionally quarantined.
Some 49,294 persons have recovered to date.
