A 23-year-old, Laluni Creek, Linden/Soesdyke man lost his life last Saturday night in his village during an acccident.
Police say that Dave Taylor was driving motorcycle # CL3900 along with pillion rider, 17-year-old Vishal Bahadur, west along the southern side of the road at a fast rate when he entered a pothole with water, which caused him to lose control of the cycle.
As a result, he and the pillion rider fell onto the road. They were picked up by public-spirited citizens and taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where Taylor was pronounced dead on arrival.
Vishal Bahadur was seen, examined and referred to a city hospital, where he was admitted for observation.
Further investigation by the police is in progress.
