The bodies were identified by Doctor Nehaul Singh at Memorial Gardens in the presence of Detective Corporal #19043 Jysingh and Detective Constable #22978 Whoseley.

On completion, the cause of death for both young men was inconclusive.

The bodies were subsequently handed over to the relatives for burial.

Guyana Standard previously reported that both men were found dead in a car parked in the Marriott Hotel parking lot on Saturday last. A substance found in the car first thought to be cocaine is now suspected to be cyanide. Samples of the substance are also scheduled to be tested overseas due to the lack of capacity at the local laboratory.
