Cidel Frank, a 22-year-old Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Solider of Mahaica, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was charged on Wednesday with the offence of Robbery Under Arms allegedly committed on April 29, 2022 at Good Hope, Mahaica, ECD.
The victim of the armed robbery is Alisha Jaikaran of Unity Mahaica, ECD.
The accused appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate court today before Her Worship Miss S. Marcus, where the charge was read to him and he pleaded not guilty. The victim, Jaikaran, offered not to give evidence against the suspect, hence the matter was dismissed.
According to the initial police report, Jaikaran has robbed of one ZTE cell phone valued $40,000 and one Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued $130,000.
The victim was likely threatened and is scared. I will not be surprised if this is the case.
If this is not the case, then she is stupid.
