Police in Regional Division 4‘C’ on Sunday last, proceeded to Lusignan Pasture, East Coast Demerara (ECD) where they spoke with 29-year-old Anil Sugrim, called ‘Peacock’, an unemployed resident of Lusignan Pasture.
Sugrim consented to a request from the ranks to carry out a search on his person.
During the search, several ziploc bags containing cocaine were discovered in his pants.
He was arrested and escorted to the Vigilance Police Station where the cocaine was weighed in his presence and it amounted to 2.5 grams.
He is slated to be charged soon.
