Senior Educator and popular Comedian, Kirwyn Mars, called “Sir Mars” died from ‘crush injuries to chest’ compounded by ‘multiple cutaneous wounds’, a post-mortem examination (PME) has concluded.

The exam with dissection was conducted at about 08:15hrs by Government Pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh.

Dr Singh stated in his findings: “Evidence of both sharp and blunt force injuries with crush injuries to the chest. Eight (8) stab wounds about the body — upper left chest, right shoulder, upper left collarbone, left hand, right elbow, and left upper chest.”

The PME was done at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC)’s Mortuary.

Sir Mars was killed last Sunday night after he was crushed and run over by a car driven by a man with whom he was at a bar hours before the accident. The incident occurred at Perseverance, East Bank Demerara.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old, Brian Richards. He has since been arrested.
