Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a Riverview, Ruimveldt business place on Tuesday night.

The 24-year-old businessman and his wife were forced to take cover after two men, one armed with a gun, opened fire. Luckily, no one was injured.

The suspects then made good their escape east of Riverview, Ruimveldt on foot and continued south on Ruimveldt Public Road.

A report was made to the police and acting on information received, cops went to Norton and Chapel Streets, Lodge where two 28-year-old males were contacted.

As the ranks were approaching the men, one took out a handgun and threw it on the ground. The said firearm was retrieved and it was observed to be a 9MM pistol with a magazine containing 3 live 9MM ammunition. They were told of the offences committed, arrested, cautioned and are currently in custody as further investigations are in progress.
