Keron Depeazer, a 23-year-old mechanic of Lot 136 Ogle Street Triumph, East Coast Demerara, was charged on Wednesday with the following offences: Robbery Under Arms, contrary to Section 222(c) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act Chapter 8:01 and Escaping from Lawful Custody, contrary to Section 340 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act Chapter 8:01.
Depeazer is accused of carrying out the armed attack on Sheldon Budhai on July 21, 2023.
The accused appeared yesterday at the Sparendaam Magistrate Court #1 before Magistrate Liverpool, where the charges were read to him respectively, and he pleaded not guilty. He was remanded to prison.
