Noble Drilling (Guyana) Inc., a prominent player in the Stabroek Block offshore operations, recently released a Request for Information (RFI) seeking qualified suppliers to provide essential Medical Support Services. This move underscores the company’s commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of its offshore and onshore workforce.

The RFI, published on Tuesday, outlines the comprehensive scope of the required services. The offshore medical support services encompass a wide range of critical functions including the provision of offshore medical technicians, onshore project support, clinic/hospital liaison, case management, and the development of a Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP).

Additionally, suppliers will be responsible for the supply of medical equipment and supplies, including prescription drugs, inventory management, personnel management, and specialized training.

One significant aspect of the offshore services is the emphasis on health and wellness promotion. The supplier will also be tasked with managing medical records, maintaining service standards, adhering to clinical protocols, and conducting inspections and quality audits. The inclusion of telemedicine services reflects the company’s commitment to cutting-edge healthcare solutions for its personnel.

For onshore operations, the scope extends to ambulance services, lab testing services, drug and alcohol testing services, and OGUK medical examinations (Oil and Gas Offshore Medicals). These services are vital to ensuring the overall well-being of the workforce, both on and offshore.

Companies interested in responding to this RFI must meet certain requirements as stipulated by Noble Drilling, the most important being a local content certificate. It is worth noting that the First Schedule of Guyana’s Local Content Act meticulously outlines 40 sectors and sub-sectors that prioritize the involvement of Guyanese businesses.

It is also important to note that this request is open for submissions until October 30th, 2023 and late submissions will not be considered. Interested suppliers are expected to send their expression of interest (EOI) packages to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected] “‌”) by the specified deadline.
