SBM Offshore’s subsidiary, Guyana Deepwater Operations Incorporated (GDO), is actively seeking partnerships to provide air diving services for its fleet of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels in the Stabroek Block.

GDO, the operator of Liza Destiny, Liza Unity, and Prosperity FPSOs, said it is committed to local content development, as outlined in the Local Content Act 2021. As such, preference will be given to Guyanese companies, with a focus on fostering social and commercial benefits within the community.

The scope of supply includes the provision of air dive systems capable of operating at depths of up to 30 meters for mobile/portable surface-supplied systems and Nitrox diving systems, or up to 50 meters for fixed surface-supplied air dive systems. Additionally, partners must offer observation ROV services to monitor air diving operations.

Prospective partners are required to adhere to local statutory requirements, International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) guidelines, International Association of Oil and Gas Production (IOGP) report 411, and client global practices, such as ExxonMobil’s standards. The company emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) throughout the project.

With a market-leading presence in leased floating production systems and a wealth of operational experience, SBM Offshore specializes in the design, supply, installation, operation, and life extension of FPSO vessels. These vessels are either owned and operated by SBM Offshore and leased to clients or supplied on a turnkey sale basis.

Companies interested in partnering with GDO for air diving services are encouraged to submit proposals in line with the outlined requirements.
