Fresh out of her exit from the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), Amanza Walton-Desir has formed her own party and is willing to team up with other political entities to oust the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C).
However, those parties must align with her entity’s policies, values, and direction.
She made this statement when asked if she would be aligning with business Azruddin Mohamed, who has since expressed his desire to run for office, although sanctioned by the US for alleged gold smuggling and a recent local tax evasion charge.
Walton-Desir announced today that she resigned from the PNCR with immediate effect, noting that she had been sidelined by the party in election preparations planning. She noted that her contributions were being undervalued.
The politician, who also resigned as a legislator, expressed disappointment with the PNCR and the Alliance for Change (AFC)’s inability to coalesce, noting that this failure is tantamount to not putting the people first.
