In this holy season of Ramadan, Opposition Leader, Azruddin Mohamed is warning his Muslim brothers and sisters about ills he believes to be facing the community.
Guyana Standard took note of a video initially published by Ryan Singh on Facebook, but it has since been deleted. However, a section of that video is now trending on Facebook.
The video published by Singh captured Mohamed addressing those who gathered to pray at an out-of-town masjid.
He told the gathering that he was not there to take politics into the masjid but he wanted to note his concerns about issues plaguing the Muslim community.
Division, was what he first addressed. The businessman turned politician noted that Muslims all over the world are blessed with money. He said however that they are still divided. Mohamed noted that the state of affairs is no different in Guyana. He said that Muslims are undermining each other and it is worrying to him.
Also worrying to him is the fact that masjids are too accessible. Mohamed said that persons of questionable character are entering the place of worship. Of specific concern to him are the “lesbians” and the “bisexuals” who are being allowed in masjids in Georgetown. The leader did not state any other questionable character.
Trending across Facebook is a clip of him airing his concerns about the lesbians and bisexuals.
