The Ministry of Housing, Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA), has officially commenced operations at its new headquarters, marking the start of the phased transition of departments and services to the new facility.
Several key departments are now fully operational from the new location.
These include the Community Development Department, which previously operated from the Old Dairy Bar Building, and the Planning Department, which is critical for the processing of Planning Permission. The Community Development Department provides several critical services to the public, including matters relating to regularisation, relocation and community development.

Also, all services previously offered at the Camp Street Annex has been fully relocated to the new Headquarters.
The relocation of these departments forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to consolidate its operations and improve the overall delivery of services to citizens.
Earlier today, Housing Minister, the Hon. Collin Croal, accompanied by Minister within the Ministry, the Hon. Vanessa Benn, Permanent Secretary, Mr. Bishram Kuppen, and Chief Executive Officer of the CH&PA, Dr. Martin Pertab, were on-site to oversee operations and assess the transition.
The officials engaged staff and reviewed the operational arrangements in place to ensure that services continue with minimal disruption as the relocation progresses.
The move is being undertaken in phases, with additional departments and key service areas expected to transition to the new headquarters over the coming days.
Members of the public are asked to exercise patience during this period as the Ministry works to ensure continuity of services and a smooth transition. Further updates will be provided as other departments commence operations from the new headquarters.
