APNU’s Vice Presidential Candidate Juretha Fernandes has pledged that an Aubrey Norton-led administration will deliver a 35% salary increase for public servants if elected. Additionally, the party plans to raise the Income Tax Threshold from $130,000 to $400,000.

During her speech at the APNU campaign launch, Fernandes criticised the current government’s spending, stating that trillions are being spent without benefiting the people. She assured supporters that this will change under the leadership of Norton, the party’s presidential candidate.

Fernandes said these initiatives demonstrate APNU’s commitment to a people-centered policy. “This is what we are guaranteeing you, the people. No government can now claim that these measures are unachievable. They are. We have the oil resources, and we will manage those resources efficiently,” she declared.

She also highlighted plans to better support senior citizens, stating that each will receive a financial empowerment boost of $100,000 under APNU’s leadership.
