In less than a week, another fatal shooting has occurred in Vigilance South, East Coast Demerara.
Dead is 38-year-old Shawn Edwards of Vigilance South, East Coast Demerara.
Police in Regional Division 4‘C’said they are investigating another shooting incident that occurred on Monday afternoon in Vigilance South, East Coast Demerara.
Guyana Standard was told that the victim was shot once to the abdomen on Monday afternoon. Edwards was rushed to the Enmore Regional Hospital by public spirited citizens. He was later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning.
Investigations are ongoing.
Last week, two men were shot and killed in Vigilance. There has been no update on that investigation.
