The Private Sector Commission (PSC) is calling on the APNU+AFC administration to respect the ruling of Chief Justice (ag), Roxane George-Wiltshire that the No-Confidence Motion passed in the National Assembly on December 21, 2018, is lawful and valid.

In light of the ruling, the PSC said it therefore calls upon the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) to fulfill its constitutional obligation to hold itself ready to conduct General Elections within 90 days of the motion, unless otherwise extended by a two-thirds majority of the Parliament.

In its missive to the media moments ago, the Commission further called upon GECOM to immediately declare its position on this issue as a matter of public interest and necessity.
